Interactivity for Everyone

Over the past month, we have contributed to several interactive projects. In each of these projects, the combination of interactivity and content helps to create memorable moments or convey a powerful message: discovering a secret spot while strolling through the Japanese countryside, or traveling inside the human body. At the same time, we developed and tested hardware prototypes of our visual tracking and real-time sound analysis solutions.

BODYVERSE

BodyVerse at OASIS

BODYVERSE offers an immersive journey inside the human body. But don't worry! The miniaturization process is safe. It features two 360° immersive galleries, a virtual reality gallery, and learning stations, where innovative technologies and sensory storytelling come together to push the boundaries of immersive storytelling. BODYVERSE is a project by the Spanish studio Univrse and OASIS immersion.

For this exhibition, we have integrated the interactive features of Gallery 3 with the projected video content. The exhibition is currently open at the Palais des congrès de Montreal. To purchase tickets: https://oasis.im/bodyverse/

Luc Courchesne's work offers an interactive video journey through the Japanese countryside. The path to take is chosen using voice commands. To restore the computer component of this work, we used our sound analysis solution and its voice recognition feature in French and English. We were also able to integrate the video management software into the mini-computer that is part of our solution: the entire computing infrastructure fits into a small backpack and weighs less than 1 kg.

Collective interactivity with our lightweight, cost-effective, and high-performance solutions

Our interactive solutions have been prototyped and are fully functional in real-world settings. You can contact us to schedule a demo, either at your location or at our office.

The solutions run on small computers that consume about ten times less energy than a standard computer. With our prototypes, we’ve been able to confirm that our devices adapt to different settings and that our software delivers the expected performance in terms of both latency and frame rate: lightweight, cost-effective, and high-performance!

These prototypes allowed us to offer multi-camera demonstrations during the Exposé 2_0 event organized by La Piscine and the Alchimia event organized by E-AI and Prompt. For these demonstrations, we transported the equipment by bike, and setup took us only thirty minutes.
